Dear Youth Parent(s),
We are excited to offer a newwinter opportunity for your student to grow in their faith and relationships,as well as have a safe and incredibly fun weekend! Hopefully, you will take some time to prayerfully considerthis opportunity for your student and the impact it could have on him/herspiritually. Below, some of thevision and opportunities this winter retreat will include are outlined. Please take a moment to look.
Vision1: CROSSING BRIDGES: This will be our first-annual local retreat to include atleast three Evangelical Covenant churches in the area. First Covenant Church of Salina,Countryside Covenant Church of McPherson, and Evangelical Covenant Church ofLindsborg are all planning to send students out to Webster for this fantasticweekend.
Vision2: BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: Working from a small-group structure, we hope tocultivate new relatiships among the students and leaders, as well as build uponexistent relationships in the body of Christ. We pray the weekend draws our students closer to the imageof a BODY. The relationalatmosphere is central to theweekend, aswe hope it is a draw and an evangelistic measure to students on the outskirtsof our ministries.
Vision3: PROMOTING GROWTH: The plan is to bring in an experienced, fresh face fromthe Covenant Speaker Teams out of the national offices in Chicago. When we add small groups and devotionsto Biblical teaching, growth is bound to happen! In addition to that, the retreat format will provide that“away” feeling (even though we’ll be close) sometimes needed to re-focus,re-energize, and dive into our faith.
Vision4: LIVING LIFE TOGETHER: High-quality, exciting activities and entertainmentwill fill the students’ down time,so they will experience how abundant and full our life together as Christianscan be. We will be promoting safeand healthy fun and encourage the students to take these ideas home with them!
Parents, we have kept the costLOW so you can afford to send your son or daughter to this weekend ofoutrageous fun and incredible spiritual challenges. We also want to encourage students to invite friends who areinterested in the faith and on the fringe of involvement with your church. We hope this can be a greatassimilating tool.
Thank you for your interest andconsideration of this event!
Through Christ Alone,
